KRON4 Maker Faire Madness

After seeing us at Maker Faire earlier this year, KRON4 came to The Crucible and spent a day filming a productive crew of makers, artists and youth who were wrapping up another week of youth summer camps. We think it’s great piece and captures some of the excitement and creativity that comes pouring out when people start working with their hands and having fun.

McClymonds Art Bike Program

Students from West Oakland’s McClymond’s High School put together this video about their participation in The Crucible’s art bike project, an actual fabrication class that earned them school credit as they explored the real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, art and math needed to build their own customized, working bicycles by hand.

The Cup Class

Long-time Crucible faculty Kier Lugo and Arlo Fishman star in this immensely popular video demonstrating the ins and outs of making glass cups in The Crucible’s hot shop.
