The Crucible Celebrates its Eighth
Anniversary with
The Most Excellent
and Lamentable Tragedy of
THE GRAND GALA FINALE— January
20, 2007
A Night to Remember
THE LEGENDARY TALE
of star-crossed lovers has never been told
like this before. In the dazzling tradition
of The Crucible’s Fire Operas, this
first-ever Fire Ballet is a sizzling synthesis
of dance and fire—choreographed by one
of the West Coast’s most exciting, young
choreographers and set to the passionate and
powerful score of Sergei Prokofiev. Classically
trained ballet dancers share the stage with
fire performers, while aerialists soar overhead.
Capulets and Montagues stage their brawls
with urban dance and Capoeira in explosive
fight scenes.

| Come to the
Grand Gala Finale to
celebrate The Crucible’s unique
pas de deux between the industrial
arts and the performing arts. Our industrial
studio space will be transformed into
an enchanted hall filled with flaming
sculptures, art demonstrations, fire performers,
musicians, and aerialists. Join us for
fiery foods and fine wines during our
pre-performance red-carpet reception.
After the performance, mix and mingle
with Crucible artists and Fire Ballet
dancers during a champagne reception. |
