Come to The Crucible's 56,000 square foot Industrial Arts studio. Peruse and purchase exclusive juried student and faculty art from The Crucible’s welding, neon, glass, jewelry, kinetics, woodworking, and blacksmithing departments. Meet expert instructors and enjoy The Crucible Youth Program’s first time participation in the show! We’ll have food, refreshments and hands-on youth activities.
Purchases can be made from individual artists with check or cash only. Proceeds benefit participating artists and The Crucible's arts education programs, so you will not only be giving gifts to your loved ones or yourself, but to your favorite nonprofit as well.

There’s no better time to explore all that our rapidly expanding industrial arts education program has to offer. With works on display by students in each of our unique departments, you’ll be able to investigate the unlimited possibilities for creativity as you talk one-on-one with expert instructors and browse through beautiful, functional and reasonably priced art objects made by Crucible students and faculty members. Bring your kids! We’ll have special activities for youth including arts demonstrations and hands-on projects!
Students in The Crucible Youth Program will have their art on display for the first time ever in the Student Art Show. The Youth Program will have a bike station highlighting our wonderful local community resource, Bike Fix-A-Thons! Please join us in supporting local West Oakland youth artists as they show their Crucible creations. Please bring your family and friends and support local youth artists!

Crucible members watch your mailboxes for an invitation to attend the Spring Student Art Show VIP Preview & Reception on April 7th, 6:30-9:00pm. This exclusive, invitation-only sneak preview gives members and VIPs a first glimpse of student and faculty art work accompanied by fire performances, artist demonstrations, live music, delicious wines and hors d'oeuvres.
