fall open house 2017

Saturday, September 9, 2017 | noon-5pm

Designed to give you a peek into the programs and events we run all year long, our open houses are a wonderful way to experience the excitement of The Crucible! During this free community event, our expert faculty will give exciting demonstrations in 19 departments, including Glass Blowing, Blacksmithing, and Foundry. This is a great way to learn more about the classes offered at The Crucible, while also exploring our expansive, 56,000-square-foot facility. Faculty and student art will be on display, showcasing the wide range of creativity found at The Crucible. On stage, Crucible community members will hold a youth panel discussion between amazing fire performances. Local art and food vendors will be on-site, and drinks are available at the Crucible bar inside. Come ready to register for classes, taking advantage of a special day-of discount available for all attendees!

We’ll see you on September 9 for an afternoon of art, community, and entertainment. This event is free and open to the general public. All are welcome! However, parents of small children will need to pay special attention, as our studio space does have some rough edges.
