GIFTY 2016 Vendor Application

Application deadline is Sunday, November 13.

Preview Night: Friday, December 9, 7–9:30pm

Saturday, December 10, 11am—5pm

Sunday, December 11, 11am-5pm

GIFTY 2016, The Crucible’s holiday gift festival, runs for an entire weekend in early December. Shoppers love finding unique items created by amazingly talented local artisans at this annual event. Like last year, we’ll host a special preview for members and invited guests on Friday evening 7-9:30pm, and open to the public Saturday and Sunday 11am-5pm. On Saturday and Sunday, we’ll have music, food, and drinks for sale, as well as demonstrations of Crucible areas of study.

Guidelines for vendors:

With classes in welding, blacksmithing, woodworking, glass blowing, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, and more, The Crucible provides arts education programs across a broad array of disciplines. Although not a necessity, we’d love to see items for sale that align with what can be made here at The Crucible.

The main focus of GIFTY is to offer shoppers the experience of buying unique hand-crafted artisan goods. We’re looking for exceptional artists whose distinct talent and passion show in their work. We do not allow sale of mass produced pieces, kits, imports, or commercial reproductions (except your own cards).

Artists must be present to sell their own work. Your allotted space may not be used by anyone other than yourself unless they have prior written permission from The Crucible. Vendors are solely responsible for complying with any regulations governing sale of their work.

No services competitive to The Crucible can be offered. The Crucible must hire all external entertainers. Vendors may not sell food, drinks, or re-recorded music.

Application and acceptance process:

  1. By November 13, fill out the vendor application form (at the bottom of this page) completely, and click “Submit”. You will have an opportunity to review your selections, and edit them as necessary, before final submission.
  2. If you have not included a link to a website with photos of your work in the application form, please email us two photos of your work (300 dpi and at least 3″) that accurately represent the goods you will sell at GIFTY. Photos will be used to determine if work juried is the same as that which is in your booth. Photos should be in focus with a solid background. Photos may be used in the media for publicity, on The Crucible website, or in printed materials.
  3. Using your photos and application, your work will be juried based on quality of artwork, relevance to The Crucible, and the requirement that it be hand-crafted. Jury will consist of Crucible staff.
  4. If you are selected to vend, you will be sent an acceptance letter with links to pay for your booth or table. Payment must be received no later than two weeks from the date of acceptance.
