The Science of Art: our Spring Open House takes place THIS Saturday, March 26, 12-5 pm. Nearly 20 industrial disciplines will be on display, including blacksmithing, welding, glass blowing, ceramics, jewelry, woodcarving and even fire eating. We de-mystify the science of art with demonstrations, exhibits, instructors, students, guest artists and scientists who are on hand to answer your questions. Think science fair with fire! It’s a fun day for the whole family, FREE and open to all.

The Crucible offers a fantastic array of classes geared to youth ages 8-11 and 12-17. Kids have hands-on creative fun making art, while learning real-world skills! They can enroll in any of 15 disciplines including ceramics, glass blowing, hot wheels, jewelry, kinetics, welding and others. Youth Spring Break runs March 28 – April 1, with morning and afternoon sections available. Youth Summer Camps are offered in six 1-week sessions, June 20 – August 5. Our creative, hands-on Team Building Workshops are fun, effective offsite experiences designed for Bay Area organizations.
