BIO

Holly Carter is a metals artist and educator. She has a Bachelors of Fine Art in Metals from Arizona State University, with a minor in Interior Design History. Her body of work is made up of Fine Art Jewelry, Small Sculpture, and Wall Pieces with a concentration on Fabrication, Casting, and Enameling. She is a member of The American Craft Council, The Metal Arts Guild of San Francisco (MAG), and serves as President of The Northern California Enamel Guild (NCEG). Holly has taught Metalsmithing and Jewelry making for the Edna Vihel Center for the Arts, Mesa Art Center, Phoenix Center for the Arts, and Richmond Art Center, as well as many small private studios.

In 2015/2016 Holly was awarded PLAY 60, Play On, $24,000.00 grant from Kaboom, the 50 Fund & the NFL Foundation. Holly created her designs for the Artful Play Richmond Welcome Area at Grant Elementary School in Richmond, CA. Holly Carter was the Grant proposal writer, designer, project and volunteer/community engagement manager, and artist.

In 2015 Holly Carter was awarded Jurors’ Choice in the ‘Lewton-Brain Foldform Competition’, an international juried competition, Hosted by Center for Metal Arts, Village of Florida, NY.
