Tools to Table: Fall Open House

Tools to Table: Fall Open House

The Crucible opens its doors for an event sure to delight the most discerning foodies, locavores, and connoisseurs of tasteful living. We’ve invited Oakland’s best home-grown food vendors to cater to artisan food lovers, and our studios and classrooms will offer exciting live demonstrations of how handcrafted tableware is made – from cups in our glass department, to woodturned bowls in the woodshop, and knives straight from the smithy.

Highlights include:

  • Wheel throwing pottery in the ceramics studio
  • Utensil forging in the smithy
  • Knife demos
  • Bowl turning and spoon carving in the woodshop
