Access The Studio

In addition to offering classes The Crucible is a hub where artists, makers, hobbyists, and professionals of all experience levels practice their craft, share ideas, and run their businesses! There are several ways of accessing the studios and equipment to fit your schedule and budget.

All studio access is suspended due to concerns around the spread of COVID-19. At this time, only registered students of classes and private workshops can access The Crucible studios.

Access The Space

At The Crucible, you can experience a fire ballet, forge a blade, and cast a 3D-printed sculpture all under one roof. How do you want to use our space?

  • CREATE – Setting up personal workshop spaces can be expensive and space prohibitive. The CREATE Program gives current and former students access to our space, tools, and equipment.
  • Lab time – Not all Crucible departments participate in our CREATE Program. During our scheduled labs, time is monitored but not instructional, where you can develop your skills and work on personal projects.
  • Rent artist studio space – The Crucible leases studio space to artists and makers and grants them access to our tools, resources, and this exciting collaborative creative community. Spaces are limited.
  • Rent the space for an event – Make your next private event unforgettable in the unique industrial setting of The Crucible! We have options for both largen and small events.

Take a Tour

Find out what we have to offer in a free, guided tour of our 56,000-square-foot facility. Tours are given twice a month: the 1st Tuesday at 6pm, and the 3rd Saturday at 3pm, except during holidays and special events.
