2023 Enameling & Metalsmithing Equipment & Supply Sale

You’re invited to the Crucible’s Enameling & Metalsmithing Equipment & Supply Sale on Saturday, September 30. Treat yourself to great deals on used and lightly used metalworking and enamel tools, materials, discontinued inventory, overruns, and more. Come early for the for the best selection.

Many of the items available during the sale were generously donated by other enamel and metal artists and Bay Area arts organizations. Items sold will support our Enameling and Jewelry departments in purchasing tools and supplies for students throughout the coming year.

You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with members of our Enameling and Jewelry faculty, learn about our class offerings, and hear what it’s like to teach at our studio.

Please note: No returns or refunds. All sales are FINAL. Items are sold AS IS without expressed or implied warranty. We are unable to ship or deliver purchased items and folks will need to provide their own method for pick-up.

Some of the items you can expect to find at the sale:

Machinery and Equipment

Several large kilns, a few specialty kilns, a rolling mill, a buffing machine, a jeweler’s bench, a stencil cutter, a small portable spray booth, professional display equipment, and more.

Tools and Supplies

Specialty firing and enamel application tools, hand tools, gemstones, hardwood boxes with cut copper inserts ready to enamel, and more, all at a huge discount!

Materials

Enamels and enamel supplements, copper bowls and dishes, cast silver settings, cut whiteboard, coated steel tiles, and much more.

How to Get Here

The Crucible is conveniently located near BART and AC Transit. We encourage public transportation as our parking lot is small.

BART

From the West Oakland BART Station, exit onto 7th Street, turn right and walk 2 blocks east to Union (at the 2nd light). The Crucible is on the northwest corner of 7th & Union, at 1260 7th Street. To plan your BART trip, visit www.bart.gov.

Parking

There will be no parking available at The Crucible for GIFTY. Street parking is available on 7th Street to the west of Union. Please do not block the Union Street entrance marked in red, the 7th Street entrance, or the roll up doors. Please do not park in lots owned by local businesses—they will tow your car.
