I Am The Crucible: Alexis Pavlantos

2019-06-21T13:45:26-07:00

Alexis Pavlantos started teaching Jewelry and Foundry classes at The Crucible five years ago. Her own jewelry and sculptural work is inspired by creatures with as many legs from four to one thousand and objects in their natural raw state. We are so excited to have Alexis vending at GIFTY 2017 for the fourth year in a row.

When Karl Hauser first walked into The Crucible in 2013, he was immediately reminded of his years in art school, where he was surrounded by highly skilled people experimenting and testing the limits of their art.

Denise Snaer-Gauder's daughter convinced her to take Iron Casting, and once she looked down into the fire of the cupola, she knew. She was addicted.
